I have had spent most of my working life-time in the stock and station industry starting in Christchurch at PGG in the wool division in 1987. The past 20 years have been spent working across the North Island in various roles including wool, finance and management roles. I now reside in Hawkes Bay with my wife Ginny and we have 3 school age boys. Interests include cricket, rugby, farming and travel.
Having grown up on a family farm in the Hawkes Bay and having a real passion for livestock, I have always been set on a career in agriculture.
After finishing boarding school I completed a B. Com. Ag, majoring in farm management at Lincoln University. Following that I started as a junior livestock rep with Hazlett before going on to service the Banks Peninsula / Ellesmere area until mid-2015 when I made the move back to the Hawkes Bay.
In late 2016 I re-joined Hazlett, based from my home in the Hawkes Bay. I was excited about the opportunities ahead and eager to get back into the stock and station industry.
I have previously worked as the east coast regional livestock rep for Firstlight Wagyu.
In my spare time I play a bit of tennis and squash and love to get out hunting and fishing and enjoy helping at the family farm at Maraekakaho.
Growing up as a child I always wanted to be part of the stock and station industry and join other family members who were involved in Hazlett. Whilst I enjoyed growing up in a number of different places all over New Zealand, my schooling was completed in Canterbury.
Whilst my now wife Vicky and I made the move to the North Island as Hazlett continued to grow, I still call Canterbury home. I started my career in the industry in 2013 with another Livestock company before joining the Hazlett team at the end of 2016.
I love playing my hockey in the winter and enjoy summer BBQ’s and a bit of boating over the warmer months.
Duke grew up on a sheep and beef farm in Canterbury always having a passion for livestock & agriculture. Duke spent his high school years boarding at Christchurch Boy’s High, and on leaving followed his passions spending 10 years working on various stations and farms across the South Island. More recently he managed a breeding and finishing farm in North Canterbury before joining the team in early 2019. Outside of work Duke is a keen rugby player for his local club Glenmark - he also enjoys spending time with friends & family, hunting & fishing, skiing and training sheep dogs.
Hi, I’m Richard. I’m proud to represent Hazlett throughout the Waikato. Born and bred on a farm in Matamata, it wasn’t long before I found myself in the world of livestock. There's something about the hustle, the people, and the thrill of the trade that got me hooked. When you work with me there won’t be any waiting around for things to happen, I understand your business and I believe in getting things done. Whether it’s breeding right through to finishing, I’m here to support you for all your livestock requirements. While my footy boots have been hung up, you can now find me coaching junior rugby and spending my time off in the outdoors: hunting, fishing, and enjoying sport.
Hi, I’m Tim. I’m proud to represent Hazlett across the Bay of Plenty. I learned the importance of community through my old man who had a knack for farming my mates and I out on the weekends. Growing up in Darfield, it wasn’t uncommon to be sent off to dock lambs or drench cattle for the day, and these are the moments that planted a seed of passion for the agricultural industry. Having spent my early career playing rugby in Japan, I found the transition to livestock agent a natural fit – combining the competitive nature with attentive listening and growing meaningful connections. I thrive off getting results, knowing I'm making a difference for the people I'm proud to serve. Outside of the day-to-day, I am an outdoors enthusiast, keen on hunting, fishing, and diving.
